Show TURKS MOVING TOWARD SPOILS The Turks, according to reports which may, or may not, be correct have offered to place twenty-five divisions of soldiers against the Germans and it is safe to assume that they have in mind the desirability desira-bility of being in on the kill In order to be in on the division of whatever spoils there may be. There will be some criticism of the calculated policy of the Turks but it is hardly fitting from Americans Amer-icans who, as a nation, did everything every-thing possible to stay out of the war themselves. We cannot justly condemn other people for emulating emulat-ing our own example. The Turks and the British have an alliance, under which the Turks are required to intervene in any war that threatens the Middle East. |
