Show Coming Events . . . Annual Silver Tea The Missionary Silver Tea, given giv-en annually by the ladies of the Community church, will be held Saturday afternoon, Feb. 24th, at 2:30 o'clock at the home of Mrs. E. F. Perham, 271 East 3rd No. Assisting hostesses will be Mrs. A. E. Blanchard, Mrs. Wm. Tull and Mrs. A. A. Eismann. RELATIVES ENJOY BIRTHDAY SUPPER Mr. and Mrs. Ermel Jensen of Mapleton entertained at a delightful delight-ful birthday supper at their home Friday evening, complimenting Mrs. Bob Snow on the occasion of her birthday. After . supper, the group also enjoyed visiting. The guests included Mr. and Mrs. Fay Dibble, Mr. and Mrs. Berton Warren, and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Snow. LUNCHEON HONORS BRIDE-TO-BE Complimenting Maurine Child, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Child, whose engagement to Pvt Paul F. Eggertsen which is announced an-nounced this week, his mother, Mrs. C. E. Eggertsen entertained at a charmingly arranged luncheon at her home on Saturday evening for friends of the bride-to-be.- A beautiful Bavarian lace cloth covered the dining table and an artisitically arranged cventerpiece of violets and acacia, emphasizing emphasiz-ing the colors of purple and gold, was employed. Tiny gold ribbons were arranged from the centerpiece center-piece to the guests' place cards, and as the girls drew the ribbons the centerpiece parted into individual indi-vidual corsages in which was a scroll inscribed with the names, "Maurine and Paul," and decorated decorat-ed with the insignia of the Army Specialized Training Program, in which the groom-to-be- is enrolled. en-rolled. Guests at the delightful affair i included, Shirley Berrett, Mary Cameron, Mrs. Jane W. Bird, Mrs. LaRae T. Stewart, Mrs. Anite B. Miller, Mrs. Almah M. Johnson, Mrs. Clara B. Averett, Mrs. Elaine C. Fletcher and the guest of honor. |
