Show ' RED CROSS HEAD SPEAKS AT JAYCEE MEETING At the regular meeting of the Springville Junior Chamber of Commerce, A. D. Shepard gave a fine talk on the things the Red Cross does for the service men at home and overseas. He related several interesting incidents that happened while he was assigned to the 6th Infantry Division at which time he was Director of Recreation Re-creation for the Red Cross. Inasmuch as there is a Red Cross drive for funds in the near future, Mr. Shcpard's remarks were very timely and after hearing hear-ing of the fine work the Red Cross is doing, the Jaycees assured him that they would all conscientiously suport the 1945 Red Cross drive to an even greater extent than they have in the past. Mr. Shepard expressed his appreciation ap-preciation in behalf of the Red Cross for the fine support to the organization throughout Utah county and particularly in"our own community of Springville. R. L. Althouse was toastmaster for the evening, with President Ernest Boyer in charge. |
