Paul Eggertsen, is announced today. 3 Engagement of Local Couple oAnnounced a Announcement is made of the engagement and approaching marriage mar-riage of Maurine Child, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Child, to Pvt. Paul F. Eggertsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Eggertsen, also of Springville. Miss Child is a graduate of the Springville high school, where she was prominent in school activities, being secretary of the student body and editor of the school paper pa-per during her , senior year. She has attended the B. Y. U. at Provo Pro-vo for the past two years, specializing special-izing in music and social sciences. Pvt. Eggertsen, also a graduate of the local high school, attended the B. Y. U. prior to his induction into the Army in June of 1943. After Af-ter taking his preliminary training at Camp Hood, Texas, he was assigned as-signed under the Army Specialized Training Program for pre-medical training. He took training at the universities at Aberdeen, S. D., and Grand Forks, N. D., which he completed com-pleted in January. He was then assigned to the Fitzsimmons General Gen-eral hospital in Denver, Colo., where he is serving at the present pres-ent time. He has been accepted as a medical student at the University Uni-versity of Colorado for the term commencing July 1. |
