Show Reception Honors aJSerwly Wedded Qouple Donna Whitney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mack Whitney of this city, became the bride of Dick H. Johnson, son of Mrs. Mae W. Johnson of Provo, on St. Valentine's Day, February 14, in rites nerfnrmpd in the Salt Lake temnle. i i The ceremony was witnessed by close relatives of the couple. Complimenting the newlyweds, a reception was given Monday eve- i ning at Memorial hall for approxi- mately 200 relatives and friends. In the receiving line were the bride and groom and their parents. par-ents. The bride was attired in an attractive afternoon dress of romance ro-mance green crepe, with white gardenia corsage. Mothers of the bride and groom wore afternoon gowns with corsages of roses in complimenting shades. The serving table was covered with a lovely lace cloth and centered cen-tered with a three-tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom. On either side were low bowls of cut flowers in pink and white. A program of musical numbers, dances and readings was an enjoyable en-joyable feature of the evening, with Glenn Holley of Mapleton as toastmaster. Mrs. Lavell Bird and Mrs. Wal-den Wal-den Hurst of Mapleton were in charge of the serving, assisted by Merilyn Whitney, Nida Men-denhall, Men-denhall, Connie Warren, Shirley Harmer, Dorothy Holley, Ruth Holley, Ruth Sargent and Melva .Dean Bird. Merilyn Whitney, Nida Menden-hall Menden-hall and Nadine Cordingly were in charge of the gifts. The bride and groom plan to make their home in Provo. |
