Show MENTAL HEALTH STUDY SCHEDULED Problems of mental hygiene and public welfare will be discussed at the annual -meeting of the Utah State Conference of Social Work May 19, 20 and 21 in the University Univer-sity of Utah Union bldg., it was announced Saturday by Mrs. Achel J. Leavitt, conference president. The first session will be held May 19 at 8 p.m., and additional meetings will be held mornings of the following two days. Afternoons After-noons of the three days will be devoted to institutes on administrative adminis-trative problems, social case work practice and mental hygiene. It is expected that between 300 1 and 400 persons from all parts of Utah will attend. Special invitations invita-tions will be extended to legislators legis-lators to attend panel discussions on public welfare problems. Mrs. Leavitt said Mrs. Karl V. King, lecturer in social work, University Uni-versity of Utah, has been named program chairman. She will be assisted by: Mrs. Martha Fraser, executive secretary, Family Service Serv-ice society; Heber Taylor, instructor, instruc-tor, school of social work; Don Carter, assistant director, division of social work, Utah State Agricultural Agri-cultural college, Logan; Mrs. Vera Christensen, department of public personnel, Salt Lake City schools: Mrs. Viyian Parmelee, formerly of the state department of public welfare, and Mrs. Leavitt. |
