Show (Paragraphs Ot Interest , . , j "Mrs.' Wm. R. Hill has returned to Salt Lake City after spending two days with her father, J. H. Manwaring and family, in Springville. Spring-ville. She was accompanied to Springville by her sister, Maurine Manwaring, who spent most of the past week in Salt Lake City. . A group of relatives went to My-ton My-ton on Sunday to attend the birthday birth-day dinner for James Giles. Included In-cluded in the party were his brother broth-er and wife, Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Giles; also Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Gurr, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Gurr, Mr. and Mrs. Tad Giles, Mrs. David Da-vid Riches of Spanish Fork. The guest of honor was presented with a number of lovely birthday gifts. Lieutenant (jg) Keith G. Nebe-ker, Nebe-ker, USNR, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harmer Nebeker, 241 West 7th South, Springville, recently completed com-pleted two weeks of active duty flying at the Naval Air Reserve Training Unit in Seattle, Washington, Washing-ton, in conformance with the Navy department's policy of bringing Naval Reserve ground officers and pilots back for temporary training duty to assist in the retention of war-learned skills. The Seattle NARTU, training headquarters for all Naval Air Reservists in the Thirteenth Naval District, is part of a nationwide program whose mission is peacetime preparedness. Mr. and Mrs. Antone J. Peterson Peter-son have returned from a two weeks wedding trip to the west coast. Mrs. Peterson is the former Miss Vera Reynolds, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Reynolds. They are making their home in this city. |
