Show UTAH TAKES 2ND PLACE IN TRAFFIC SAFETY Utah is second place winner in the National Safety council's western division 1947 traffic safety contest and Salt Lake City received re-ceived "honorable mention" in the class No. 3 group of cities, according accord-ing to advice received Tuesday by Utah Safety Council. Last year's safety contest was the largest in the history of the national organization. Besides the 48 states listed as contestants, 622 cities of more than 10,000 population popula-tion and 594 cities and towns of less than 10,000 population participated. par-ticipated. As previously announced by NSC, highest honors in Utah went to Logan, where for the third consecutive year no traffic deaths occurred.
