Show clSewlyrweds At Home Following Reception, Coast Honeymoon A lovely wedding of trie early spring season was" that of Miss Jane Cfierrington, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Cherrington, and Merlin Norton, son of Mr. and Mrs. J R i" Ted Murdock. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Cherrington and Mr. and Mrs. Bur- , ton Harmer were acting hosts and hostesses. Coleen Norton was in charge of the gift book. Immediately after the reception, the newlyweds left on a honeymoon honey-moon trip to the west coast,, and spent a few days in Los Angeles and in San Francisco. In their newly furnished apartment, apart-ment, 65 South Second West, Saturday Sat-urday evening, they entertained for members of their wedding party par-ty and cut their beautifully decorated decor-ated wedding cake. ' " ' $ " son; violin selections, Mrs. Jack Cherrington; advice to the newly-weds, newly-weds, Mrs. Ella Reynolds. Dancing and refreshments were, also enjoyed during the evening. . Serving were girl friends of the bride, including: Dorothy Cran-mer, Cran-mer, Dorothy Mae Groesbeck, Elizabeth Walker, Jane Huntington, Hunting-ton, Norma Brockbank, Joan Stewart, Stew-art, Bonnie Baxter, Norma Weight, and Nadine Snow. ' The gift room was in charge of Mrs. Belle W. Childs, Mrs. Ruby Twitchell, Mrs. Ardith Norton, Mrs. Captola Cherrington assisted by Dorothy Fackrell, Lois Fay Twitchell, Robert Murdock and Norton. The marriage was per-, formed in the Salt Lake temple, Wednesday, April 7, and was witnessed wit-nessed by immediate relatives and close friends of the couple. Following the ceremony, the bride and groom were complimented compli-mented with a wedding dinner, given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bernon Christensen, uncle and aunt, in Salt Lake City. A pretty wedding cake and spring flowers formed the centerpiece for the dining din-ing table, and covers were arranged ar-ranged for members of the wedding wed-ding party. The Friday following their wedding, wed-ding, the couple was honored at a wedding reception in the Fourth ward hall. They received their many guests in the lobby of the church, which was beautifully decorated with cut flowers and tall burning candelabra. The bride was beautifully gowned in white satin entrain, and she carried a pretty bouquet of pink rose-buds centered with an orchid. Her veil of silk net was arranged to her head with a crown of seed pearls. Attending the bride were,: Mrs. Carol Clark, sister, as matron of honor, and Joan Blackett, Marilyn Whitney, and Melba Child were bridesmaids. They wore pastel colored formats and carried colonial colon-ial bouquets. .Little Kay Norton and Kay Cherrington in formal attire, at-tire, acted as train bearepe. Also in the receiving line were parents of the bride and groom. Mrs. Cherrington Cher-rington wore a dusty-rose formal and Mrs. Norton was in blue. Their corsages were deep rose camellias. ca-mellias. Ardeen Childs was best man. During the evening a program was given, with Jack Cherrington, brother of the bride, toastmaster. Golden Hansen entertained with a vocal solo, and Miss Mammie Williams, Wil-liams, roommate of the bride at the A. C, gave piano solos. Other numbers included a vocal solo, Mrs. Ellen Anderson; a piano solo, Mrs. Mary Bird; vocal duet, Mrs. Ellen Anderson and Golden Han- |
