Show 'Bridal Shower Honors Mrs. Jay A. Strong THETA TAU CLUB MEMBERS GAVE A HOLIDAY PARTY honoring their partners and a number of invited guests at Haase , cafe on Friday evening. Each club members invited a guest couple. cou-ple. Early in the evening, a delicious dinner was served at one long table ta-ble which was beautifully decorated decor-ated for the occasion. Later the group enjoyed dancing. Approximately Approxi-mately 40 members and guests attended. at-tended. MRS. RONALD THORPE WILL BE CLUB HOSTESS to members of the Home Culture group at her home Friday afternoon. after-noon. An interesting program is arranged for the occasion and all members are urged to be present. Little people criticize those who are trying to accomplish something some-thing worthwhile. Mrs. Jay A. Strong, formerly Jane Nielson of Spanish Fork, was honored during the holidays with a bridal shower given by Mrs. Florence Ellis, Mrs. Arthur C. Boyer and Mrs. T. E. Child at the home of the latter. A beautiful Christmas tree and other holiday motifs decorated the entertaining rooms. Approximately 35 relatives and friends from Springville, Spanish Fork, Mapleton and Salt Lake City attended. The entertainment featured fea-tured progressive bridal games and an interesting program. In conclusion, a tasty tray lulncheon was served and the bride opened her many useful and beautiful beau-tiful gifts. MERLE FLETCHER WILL REVIEW A BOOK to feature a meeting of the Mothers Study club Friday afternoon, after-noon, at the home of Mrs. Mae Fletcher. All club members are urged to be present. |
