Show WOMAN TAKES PART IN DEFENSE WORK The part which women may play in the national defense program and in which many are engaged at the present was seen today in a clipping from a Long Beach, Calif., newspaper showing a former B. Y. U. girl known also in this city, engaged in airplane construction at a factory in Bellflower, Calif. The worker, Mrs. Mabel Bunton, formerly Mabel Bigler of Indian-ola, Indian-ola, is a sister of Mrs. Lewis Gustin of Springville. She took training train-ing at a regular school during the summer along with a number of other women and now has a regular regu-lar job, five hours each week on airplane construction. The picture was of her working on the wing of the plane. She is also a member mem-ber of the Women's Ambulance Corps in California. |
