Show AIRCRAFT TO WIN WAR THIS YEAR, IS REPORT A British air enthusiast says unqualifiedly that both Germany and Italy can be knocked out in 1943. He thinks that fifty bombing bomb-ing raids a month for two months, each unloading two thousand tons of bombs would turn the trick. According to a London news dispatch, this would mean stepping step-ping up the present aerial war four times. The probabilty is that attacks at-tacks upon Axis-held Europe will be stepped up by four times before be-fore the end of this Summer. Naturally, there is much interest inter-est in the suggestion that continuous continu-ous r o u n d-the-clock bombing might be able to put Germany, or Italy, or both, out of the war. Certainly, such a campaign would not involve the huge loss of life which must be faced if a large Anglo-American army invades Continental Europe. |
