Show HELP NEEDED AT LOCAL RED CROSS ROOM Unless local women come out to assist with the making of surgical surg-ical dressings, the unit is to be moved to a more patriotic community, com-munity, it was reported Wednesday Wednes-day by officers in charge. The Springville Red Cross has been asked to make 1,000 dressings dress-ings per day and this amount has not been reached. It is therefore necessary to do something about it, it was stated. - Women who have an hour or two of time each day or evening, are urged to come to the room on the second floor of the old bank building and assist with the work. As few as five women have been coming out and, although these women work hard, the desired number of dressings cannot be made. It is further pointed out that this is one little thing which the women of Springville might do to assist our boys in this struggle. We would not want it said that for the want of a dressing at the front or in a Red Cross hospital, some boy's life had been lost. The dressings must be made by hand and under sanitary conditions. condi-tions. Women re ssked to wear a washable dress- Instructions' for making will be given at the room. It is urged that local women act immediately to keep the unit here and not have it moved to some "more patriotic town" for dressings to be made for perhaps one of our own boys. The room is open daily from 2 until 5 p. m., and from 7 until 9 p. m. |
