Show COMMITTEE TO ASSIST WITH LABOR PROBLEM The labor coordination committee commit-tee is making every effort possible possi-ble to relieve the labor shortage for the farmers and the cannery. With this idea in mind a meeting meet-ing was held at the high school Wednesday afternoon for the purpose pur-pose of discussing problems of wages, hours and other labor conditions-Arrangements have been made with the U. S. Employment Service Ser-vice to register everyone who may desire to work in the cannery or elsewhere at the Chamber of Commerce Com-merce office, at 17 West Second South street, in the new bank building. The phone is 274. Registration Reg-istration will be from 4 until 7 p. m. each day, beginning on Thursday, June 10. Farmers who need help in their cherries or any any other crop, are asked to get In touch with people at the employment office as soon as possible. |
