Mr. and Mrs. Joe Boswell and children motored to Nephi Sunday to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Salisbury t who accompanied accompan-ied them back to Springville for a visit here. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Clark enjoyed en-joyed a visit from their daughter, Mrs. Lamond Higbee and children of Winnemucca, Nevada, one day last week. Mrs. Higbee came to Springville while her husband was on business in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Palfreyman had as their guests one day last week her sister and husband Mr. and Mrs. Grant Harris of St. George, who stopped enroute to Salt Lake City where they visited Lamond Higbee there on business from Winnemucca, Nevada. The Palfreymans also spent one day visiting in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Louig A. Johnson returned Sunday from a five-week tour of places of interest in California, Cali-fornia, Nevada and Arizona. Making Mak-ing the trip by auto and trailer, they traveled through Death Valley Val-ley and were especially interested in Death Valley Scotty's castle. They visited briefly with relatives in Springville, Calif., and were in San Diego, Calif., 10 days during which time they went aboard the LTSS Philippine Sea on which their son is stationed and visited with him. They went into Mexico two or three times and traveled to Yuma, Ariz., to Phoenix, where they spent 12 days and then to Tuscon, Cassa Grande and other points in that state. Their trip also included a stop at Lake Mead, the Valley of Fire in Nevada and Las Vegas. Lee Frandsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Frandsen is home on a few days leave from the Navy Coast Guard. His ship is docked about eight miles out from the mouth of the Columbia river. After the men have been on board two months or so, they are given leave for approximately 20 days. Lee has been here since February 10 and will return about February 28. . Girl, to Randall and Pamela Evans Sumsion, February 15, at the Utah Valley Hospital. Boy, to Juan and Elma Snow Whiting, Saturday, February 13, at the Utah Valley hospital. Boy, to Boyd and Jacqualyn Christensen Snow, February 13, at the Spanish Fork hospital. The new arrival is the third boy for the Snows and the fifth grandson for the A. R. Snows. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Cox and children returned home Wednesday Wednes-day of last week from Heppner, Oreg., where they visited Mr. Cox's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dee Cox and other relatives and friends, being gone about ten days. Mrs. Emily Crandall enjoyed a visit from her son D. Ford Crandall Cran-dall of Salt Lake City on Friday of last week. He with his wife Elf ie are leaving on Friday, February 26 to attend an insurance convention conven-tion in New York City. ' Mr. and Mrs. A. LeRoy Erickson had as a guest recently, Mrs. Erickson's brother George R. Bies-inger, Bies-inger, who is in Utah for a short visit from New Zealand, where he is in charge of construction of an LDS church. While in Utah, he and Mrs. Erickson in company with other family members visited relatives rela-tives in Denver. Mrs. George L. Beardall, Miss Myrtle Childs and Mrs. Lewis Childs and son Wayne, were in Salt Lake City Thursday evening of last week for a surprise visit with their sister, Miss Berthena Childs of Salt Lake City on the occasion oc-casion of her birthday. |
