Show Relief Society Sets Public Patriotic Program Monday 40 Singing Mothers from all Wards To Participate; Men Will Represent Nation's Great Leaders Kolob Stake Relief Society is sponsoring a patriotic pat-riotic program next Monday afternoon at 2 p.m., in the slake house in commemoration of the birth of ci&nro-a Wnchinp-fnn and an invita- . o tion is given everyone, women ana men, to attend, announces President Presi-dent Grace Crandall. The entertainment is directly in charge of the social science department de-partment of the Relief Society with Mrs. Marie Cranmer, stake leader, in charge, assisted by Mrs. Philda Finley. Titled, "The Voice of the People," the dramatic program deals with the sequence of events in AmeriL ca, which led to the framing of the Constitution. It was written by Alberta H. Christensen. Participating in the presentation presenta-tion will be the Singing Mother's Chorus, directed by Mrs. Zara Tohks, with Mrs. Mary Witney, accompanist. This group includes singers from all wards in the stake. Mrs. Mary Ann Lawrence will be the reader during the program and four men, Ronald Allan, Paul K. Walker, A. T. Tippetts and Wm. Schreiner will take the parts of Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Wash-ington, Benjamin Franklin, James Madsen. Aaron Mendenhall will be the narrator. The entire program will be presented pre-sented in costume and Mrs. Maur- ice Bird will give a medley of patriotic pa-triotic numbers as part of the afi-ternoon afi-ternoon program. The prayers will be offered by Mrs. Maggie Wood and Mrs. Eva Bird. President Crandall stated that a nursery will be provided so that young mothers with children may attend. All wards in the stake are joining join-ing to give this fine patriotic entertainment, en-tertainment, she said. |
