Show Funeral Services Friday for Mapieton Woman Funeral services will be conducted conduct-ed Friday at 1 p.m., in the Maple-ton Maple-ton LDS ward chapel, for Mrs. Violet Gerda Nylund Christensen, 42, who died Monday at 9 p.m., at her home of a heart ailment. Friends may call at the Claudin Funeral Home this evening, Thursday Thurs-day from 7 to 9 p.m., and also Friday Fri-day before the services, which will be under direction of Bishop Welby Warren of the Mapieton ward. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Christensen was born in Burke, Ida.. February 26, 1912, a daughter of Jack and Elizabeth Carlson Nylund. She was married to Leland J. Christensen March 14, 1929, in Salt Lake City and they spent their early married life in Mayfield moving to Maple'ton in 1943. Mrs. Christensen had been active ac-tive in church work in the Maple-ton Maple-ton ward. Survivors include her husband and two sons and a daughter, Keith L. Christensen of Provo; Gary L. Christensen and Karen E. Christensen of Mapieton: also one grandchild; a brother, Glenn Nylund Ny-lund of Grantsville and three sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Dorothy Chambers of Park, Utah; Mrs. Alice Curtis of Walnut Creek, Calif.; Mrs. Dar-lene Dar-lene Sullivan of Valejo, Calif. |
