Lunch was served to Larie Warren, Iris Dibble, Gen Allen, Muriel Diamond, Fern Crandall, Ethel Scovil, Louise Jensen, Lan-ore Lan-ore Bills, Aida Lee, Beth Jensen, Zora Hales and Iva Snow. The evening was spent in playing "500" with prizes going to Barbara Murray, Mur-ray, Beth Jensen, Gen Allen and Zora Hales. Patricia Hall issisted the hostess. The YLMIA of Mapleton Ward was reorganized Tuesday evening of last week with Lillian Binks as new president. She has chosen Afton Barker and Esther Hurst to act as her counselors. Officers who have been released are Doris Halverson and Virginia Hall. The Mapleton Primary Guides were entertained by their teacher Mrs. Beth Martain at her home Friday night. They have completed their primary work and joined the Scouts at their banquet Thursday night. Approximately 150 Scouts and Scouters enjoyed the banquet on Thursday night in the church amusement hall. Supper was served ser-ved at long tables decorated in traditional scout fashion and the following program was enjoyed with Lewis Snow conducting and Bishop Welby Warren acting as master of ceremonies; violin solo, Martin Palmer; accordian selections, selec-tions, Robert Curtis; scout awards by Juan Whiting and Leonard Harris. Har-ris. Leonard Harris was released with a vote of thanks after serving five years as a scout leader. The Explorers presented him with a gift. Howard Stevens was appointed appoint-ed to take his place. Representing Kolob Stake at the supper were Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Loveridge of Springville. The committee responsible for the banquet consisted of Mr. and ,Mrs. Ermel Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Bills, Mr. and Mrs. Preston Pres-ton Hooper, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Barker, Mr. and Mrs. John West-wood West-wood and Mr. and Mrs. Juan Whiting. Whit-ing. . Mr. James A. Sullivan of Salt Lake City has been the guest of his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Whiting over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Juan Whiting are the proud parents of a new baby boy born Saturday in the Utah Valley hospital. The new baby has one brother and one sister. Mrs. Eva Bird was hostess to the Camp Mapleton DUP at her home on Thursday afternoon. She was assisted by Winona Davies, Norma Cox and Georgia Plumlee. Marva Whiting gave the lesson and Mrs. Bird gave the history. Norma Cox entertained with a piano selection. sel-ection. Refreshments were served.
