Show 'Baseball Club to Play in Snow Invitational Meet July 9 to 13 Springville's baseball team will i ay .in th nual Snow College scholarship . baseball L tourname scheduled at Ephraim July 9tol3iannounc Clark of Snow College. The tournament is an invitational invita-tional affair with eight selected teams participating. The meet is sponsored by the Ephraim Lions club and all proceeds go to the athletic scholarship fund of the school. Teams representing the various cities and who participate in the tournament are given first opportunity to have a fellow from their city be considered for one of these scholarships to Snow. Pairings for the two-bracket meet have been announced and games scheduled. Monday, July 9 at 7 p.m. Mayfield-Gunnison plays Spanish Fork and at 9:15 Ephraim meets Aurora. Tuesday, July 10, 7 p.m. Springville meets Moroni and at 9:15 Mt. Pleasant plays Sa-lina. Sa-lina. Monday winners and losers play again Wed. and Tuesday winners win-ners and losers meet Thursday with the championship game Friday. Fri-day. To the winner will go a handsome hand-some trophy. Awards will also go to the runnerup club, the consolation consola-tion winner and an all-tournament team. A trophy will be given to the outstanding player and various prizes will be given each night to individual players for home runs, triples, etc. |
