Show Relief Society Collects Materia! for Box to Be Opened in Fifty Years SMrs. D. O. Ashcraft and Miss Vernessa Hutchings, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Hutchings, have received calls to serve in the north central and northern states missions. f 25 Years Ago ... S An informal social and program was held Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. G. W. Menden-hall Menden-hall for the Relief Society Stake board and ward executive officers, for the purpose of collecting material ma-terial concerning the Relief Society and putting it in a box to be opened open-ed in 50 years. Among items placed in the box were: a history of the stake and ward Relief Societies, pictures of stake board members, the Relief Society magazine, individual in-dividual letters from state officers and friends, outline of the Relief Society pageant, and other items. The box will not be closed until July 24 so that others may place items in it. Three members were present who placed letters in a similar Relief Society box fifty years ago. They are Mrs. Phoebe( Singleton, Mrs. Ellen K. Wheeler and Mrs. Celestia Whitmore. Mrs. Tom Averett, who underwent under-went a critical operation at the LDS hospital recently, is convalescing conval-escing as well as can be expected at her home. Mr. and Mrs. George Roylance announce the birth of a son at their home on June 30. Mrs. Ted Rowland who was seriously ser-iously injured in an automobile accident near Moab two and a half months ago, was removed from the hospital to the home of her son Bert, Monday. Her back was injured and she is still unable to sit up without a brace. Mr. Rowland Row-land injured in the same accident was released from the hospital two weks ago and has returned to his work.
