I : t ' 1 i C I ' J a - -- -v. -:- Mffffr i-ntir-iilrV-rtlff l fil-TflnYi rt--. ii.iir' ii '-nun nj Mrs. Kate Thompson Funeral Services Held Tuesday For Kate Thompson Funeral services for Mrs. Kate (Aunt Kate) Miller Thompson, 91, who died Sunday evening in a Provo hospital of causes incident to age, were held Tuesday afternoon after-noon at 2 p.m., in the First ward church. Burial was in the Evergreen Ever-green cemetery under direction of Claudin Funeral Home. Mrs. Thompson was born in Springville, Feb. 1, 1865, a daughter daugh-ter of John A. and Franceanya Rogers Miller. She was married to Ezra Ambrose Thompson in 1890. They made their home in Grand Junction, Colo., for several years where Mrs. Thompson engaged in cattle business. Later they purchased pur-chased a large ranch in Circleville and lived there 18 years. After selling out their ranching interests, they moved to Hollywood, Calif., and made their home there for 23 years. Shortly after the death of her husband in 1946, she moved to Springville and had made her home with a niece and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Maeser T. Young most of the time since. In her earlier life Mrs. Thompson Thomp-son was an active community leader lead-er and worked with the Red Cross during World War I. She is survived by seven nieces and nephews: Mrs. Bird Brown, Orvil Clark and Mrs. Maeser Young, all of Springville; Mrs. Bish Farley of Orem; Ted Clark of Torrance, Calif, and Lynn Miller Mil-ler of Leeds, Utah. |
