Show Tennis Tournament Saturday to Open Summer Recreation Play As part of the city recreation program, a city Tennis Tournament Tourna-ment is planned to start this Saturday, Sat-urday, May 26, according to George Pehrson, director. Entries in the city-wide tournament tourn-ament should be called in by Friday, Fri-day, May 25, to Mr. Pehrson. There will be an age division in the meet. All kids up to and including includ-ing 12 years will be classified in one division, 13 to and including 15 year olds in another division, and 15 year and over will compete com-pete in the men's division. Mat- ches will be played on the high school courts. 1 Summer Softball . . . Summer Softball will officially get underway June 12, according to director Pehrson. Teams now entered on the roster include Cal's Used Cars, Ruff Garage, Brook-side Brook-side Market and the National Guard. It is planed to have five clubs entered. Any fellows who wish to play on any of the soft-ball soft-ball teams should contact George i Pehrson or Bill Ruff. This year a trophy will be presented pre-sented to the winning team and several individual awards will be given to individual players. To the player batting in the most runs, to the player with the highest high-est batting average and to the player hitting the most home runs will go these medals.
