Show Legion to Conduct Memorial Exercises , AU business houses in Spring-,;ile Spring-,;ile will be closed fo rtlie Mem-irinl Mem-irinl holiday next Wednesday, May 0 when tributes of respect will ;J paid to those departed and pecial exercises conducted for rar veterans. ' The American Legion post, as .as been the cusTom in many years ast will assemble at Memorial at 9:15 a.m., Wednesday and ed by the Springville high school 4- band will march to the City cemetery, ceme-tery, where patriotic services will be conducted. A committee from the Legion and Legion Auxiliary will visit each veterans grave prior to the exercises to decorate it with a miniature American flag and a wreath of poppies. Following the exercises at the City cemetery, the Legionnaires and band will assemble at the Evergreen cemetery for similar exercises. Citizens are invited to join with the Legion in their patriotic tribute tri-bute but a special request has been made that cars are not parked in the main driveways as it retards the marching of the Legion unit and makes it difficult diffi-cult to carry on the Memorial exercises. |
