Show Mr. and Mrs. Leo Cutler enjoyedS a visit the past week from Mrs. Cutter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Zabriskle, former Springville residents. resi-dents. Mrs Barbara Francis has' received re-ceived word from her son Reed that he recently received his Masters Degree from Stanford University. Un-iversity. Mr. Francis is a formei teacher in Springville. He and his wife the former Leslie Lovendge of Springville also have a new baby girl, who was welcomed home recently by five brothers. Mr and Mrs. Marion Tyler of Long Beach, Calif., visited in Springville Sunday with Mrs. Zel-ma Zel-ma Beardail, who is convalescing from a recent major operation. Mrs.Fred Childs and two children Kathleen and Bruce returned recently re-cently from an enjoyable vacation in California. She visited her sister-in-law, Mrs. Eugene Robertson at Concord and from there they took many interesting sight-seeing trips They visited in Redwood City with the former Jean Wil-kins Wil-kins who was' in nursing school with Mrs. Childs and also called on the Garth Tingeys at the Fairfield Airforce base, and stopped for a time in San Francisco. Mrs. Childs made the trip to California by train and came back with Mrs. Robertson and her children. Mrs. Robertson, the former Barbara Bird of Mapleton will spend two more weeks here and at Mapleton returning to California by the time her husband, Dr. Eugene Robertson is back from a cruise in the Orient with the Navy. He expects to be stationed at the Naval Na-val hospital in Oakland, where he returns early in September t2ouncl-'n--Aloul Jown . . - Mrs. Janet CramUUl has had as her house guest the past week, Mi. and Mrs. Sterling Crandall and four children of Riverside, Calif. They also visited Mr. Crandall s mother, Mrs. Eva Crandall and other relatives in Salt Lake City. LaMar Clark has spent the past three weeks at Missoula, Mont., where-he has been employed dur-ino- the steel strike and has been staying with his sister-in-lavv and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Lambson. Guests at the home of Mrs. Janet Crandall the past week were Pat Mahoney and Bernell Thorton of Council Bluffs, Iowa, both of whom became friends of Kent Crandall, while he was on his mission. Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Martindale left recently on a vacation trip to the Northwest. They planned to visit Mr. and Mrs. Owen Lambson , at Missoula, Mont.; also with Mark j Fullmer at Butte, Mont, and with : Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Grant at Hay-1 den Lake, as well as interesting! tourist attractions throughout the Northwest. Mr and Mrs. Robert Harrisoip and son David left for their home in Lorenzo, Calif., near Oakland Tuesday, after a week's stay in( Springville. During the time here they were house guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Harrison and were extensively entertained by relatives. rela-tives. A family garden party was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Holley at Mapleton on Wednesday Wed-nesday evening and on Thursday in company with Mr. and Mrs. George Harrison and Mrs. Hazel Harrison, they motored to Salt Lake where they were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Verl Harrison Har-rison at dinner at Mill Creek. They also visited the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Harrison, Howard Harrison, who recently underwent a major operation at the Veteran's hospital. Robert and his wife and son were also dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Krause and breakfast break-fast guests of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Holley during their stay here. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Loveridge and two sons, Michael and Susan visited Salt Lake City and Springville. Spring-ville. While here, they were entertained enter-tained at several parties and enjoyed en-joyed some of Utah's fishing. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Gum Johnson have had as their guests the past week, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Adamson of South Gate, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. B. F. McQuiddy and children Karen, Michelle and Laurie of Cherry Park for a family reunion and the visitors were also honored at several other family gatherings and parties. They planned to tour the parks enroute home. |
