Show Thirty-five Family Members Honor Mapleton Father on Birthday Party L. A. Nielson was honored on his birthday with a supper party on the back, lawn of their home Saturday evening. Other honored guests were his son, Alton and daughter-in-law, Lucille, whose birthdays occured during the same weekend. Thirty five members of his family were present. Mrs. Myron Bown, (Ferl) and children of Milford who were here for the party will spend a week with her father and will return at the end of the week with her husband hus-band to their home. Miss Sharon Ellis returned to Richmond, California with her cousin cou-sin and her husband Mr. and Mrs. Ray Woffinden where she plans to stay until school commences in the Fall. The Woffindens have been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Mackley In Provo and with his folks in Leland. Mr. and Mrs. Waldon Hurst have had the company of her brother and his wife Mr. and Mrs. Stiner Busk and their two girls of Elsinor three days last week. Other visitors vis-itors Sunday were Mrs. Hurst's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Lindsay of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Charles Atheison (Naomi) and her three children Shirley, Linda and Tommy left last week for their home in Long Beach. Her brother, Bernell Binks accompanied accompan-ied them home and will spend several sev-eral days visiting with them and with his other sisters Berniece and La Von and their families. Dr. and Mrs. Max Morgan and their three children Karen, Janet and Diane have moved to Salt Lake City to make their home after af-ter spending several months in Mapleton. Max has opened an office of-fice and will practice dentistry there. Mapleton Jaycee Wives enter-. enter-. tained their husbands with a steak fry in the Mapleton Park Sat. Despite Des-pite the rain, volleyball and visiting visit-ing were enjoyed. After eating, the officers were in charge: Pres., Janet Carnesecca; vice president, Nelma Jensen; secretary-treasurer, Arline Antanino; Directors, Beth Bird and Marion Roundy and Mary Carnesecca, historian. Mrs. Ruth Holley Whitely, who has been spending several weeks at the home of her father Mr. John I. Holley has gone to New Mexico where her children have been staying stay-ing with their grand parents for a summer vacation. Mrs. Cornell Binks and children Susan and Craig of Payson were Sunday dinner guests at the Nor-ris Nor-ris T. Binks home. She has recently returned from a vacation trip to Hollywood, California where her husband has been employed for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hjorth and family are spending a week at Fishlake. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Jensen and family of Phoenix, Arizona are guests at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jensen. Mrs. Jensen has been here for several weeks spending part of the time in Carbon visiting relatives. Elmo returned re-turned here with his brother Stanley Stan-ley Jensen who had gone to Arizona Ari-zona to be best man at the wed- |
