Show 5 : ; IDS VJard Reorganization Plan Completed Sunday New Boundary Lines, Officers Named In Three Wards . Completing a reorganization I program for the LDS wards in Springville, Stake President Leo A. Crandall, assisted by Glen A. Christensen and Bert Strong of the stake presidency and high councilmen, met with the First, Third and Ninth wards Sunday i to sustain new officers and announce an-nounce a change in boundaries of these wards. The reorganization plan carried car-ried out throughout this month, has resulted in the creation of three new wards, the Tenth, Eleventh and the Twelfth wards as well as a change in boundary lines of every ward in Springville; Spring-ville; also the naming of new bishoprics and other officers in the three new wards and the sustainment also of new officers in practically every other ward. In the First ward, two new clerks, LaVar Cloward and Edmund Ed-mund H. Roundy were named to succeed Dean Bird and Royal Barney, who are now in the new Twelfth ward. Lewis B. Childs will remain as bishop of the First ward with Hal Taylor and Bird Brown, counselors and Merrill Mer-rill Nielson, ward clerk. All the area east of Fourth East and south of Sixth South to the Mapleton city limits, will be included in the First ward In the Third ward, Fred Smith was sustained second counselor to Bishop Bliss Packard Pack-ard to replace T. Melvin Hay-mond, Hay-mond, who is now in the Ninth ward. Wendell Winger is presently pres-ently serving as first counselor and Oscar Boyer, ward clerk. The boundary lines of the Third ward extend from the corner of Second East and Sec- b ond North, north to the stake boundaries and west along Second Sec-ond North to the west stake boundary. Bishop Clarence L. Jensen of the Ninth ward selected T. Melvin Mel-vin Haymond as his new first counselor; J. Eli Tippetts as second counselor and Richard Boyer, ward clerk. Retiring from the bishopric because of boundary boun-dary lines are Charles Porter, first counselor; M. N. Moon, second sec-ond counselor and D. LaRell Johnson, ward clerk. New boundary lines for the Ninth ward extend from the corner cor-ner of Second North and Second East, south to First South thence west to the stake boundaries boun-daries and also west along Second Sec-ond North and Second West along the stake boundaries. |
