Susan had a party with all the fifth grad girls invited. in-vited. Frank Weight has two new little lambs born all so early. Do you think that the lamb knew it was still winter? The third grade are dramatizing dramatiz-ing "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." They have learned the songs "Heigh Ho," and "Whistle While You Work." This Monday the fifth grade gave a program including in-cluding a wild west play they had made up. The two second grades and some of the fifth grade students' stu-dents' parents were guests. The sixth grade is working on a new musical. This Monday we had a very good movie, showing how the weather bureau works and the effects ef-fects of the different kinds of weather throughout parts of the world. Gerald Stoker, from Cedar City, and an uncle to Michael Jones of Mrs. Lewis' first grade, shared some of his choice slides with us last Friday. He had taken these slides in his travels throughout Europe. Michael's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jones also visited us and operated the projector while Mr. Stoker told us about the places shown in the slides. Our favorite pictures were of the Holland Hol-land tulip fields in bloom, of Buckingham Buck-ingham Palace, where the English Queen lives, and of Niagara Falls, here in America. Mrs. Anderson's first grade joined Mrs. Lewis' for the afternoon program. We all wrote thank you notes to Mr. Stoker and Mr. and Mrs. Jones. This grade also had a party and dance for Scott Lowe's seventh birthday. While the group sang "Happy Birthday" Scott blew the candles out on his cake. Mrs. LeRoy's grade are studying study-ing about the weather. Everyday we keep a record of the temperature tempera-ture and the- kind of weather. We put our thermometer outside several sev-eral times a day. Some of the girls in the fourth grade had wanted to do something special in the Hungarian relief program, so after the school had raised more than $36.00, the fourth grade girls made a special drive and were able to raise $8.10 more. They were glad to do something some-thing extra for these unfortunate people. Many of the children in the school turned their weekly allowance allow-ance into this fund. This Monday many of the classes clas-ses listened to the inauguration of the president. The sixth grade students stu-dents are learning to play fulto-phones. |
