(Chuck) Peterson Springville Police Pass Out 903 Tickets During '56 Of a total of 903 citations is- sued by Springville city police officers of-ficers during the past year (1956), 712 were for traffic violations, according to the annual report submitted this week by Chief H. M. Weight. Holding second place for violation viola-tion of the law, was intoxication, for which a total of 63 citations were issued during the year. Third high came for driving under the - influence of liquor for which a j total of 53 tickets were issued. There were 15 larceny cases handled during the year; 6 burglaries; bur-glaries; one, assault; 2, sex offenses; of-fenses; one, liquor law; 2, disorderly disor-derly conduct; 4, vagrancy; one gambling; 20 illegal parking; 25, motor vehicle law violation. I Chief Weight pointed out that the increased number of traffic i offenses handled by police was ! due in part to the highway being radar controlled part of the time. ! |
