Show Mapleton News ... Mr. and Mrs. Reese Mower and Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Binks entertained entertain-ed the members of the M Men Basketball team and their partners at a well planned turkey supper in the ward church Friday evening. Miniaure basketballs were given to members of the team as favors and red heart candy cups to their partners. part-ners. After supper the remainder of the evening was spent in playing games. Attending the party besides be-sides the hosts were Alma and Catherine Jensen, Glade and Col-lette Col-lette Binks, Duane and Colleen Binks, Dean Binks and Margene Hurst, Darell Warren, Bliss Harmer, Har-mer, Dennie Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Bennett, Bishop and Mrs. Welby Warren, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hall, Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Binks, and Mr. and Mrs. Lon Cox. Laura Bennett and Virginia Hall sang a duet; Iris Dibble gave a reading and Lon Cox entertained with a doll dance. Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Erickson of Murray and Mrs. C. W. Erickson Erick-son of Salt Lake City were guests at a birthday dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Norris T. Binks Sunday the occasion being the birthday of Mr. Erickson and Mrs. Binks who are twins. Other members mem-bers of the family present were Mr. and Mrs. Blair Binks of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Cor-nell Binks and daughter Susan of Pavson and Mr. and Mrs. .Glade Binks of Mapleton. LaVere and Geraldine Greenall are the proud parents of a baby boy born Saturday at the Utah Valley"Hospital. Freeman Bird was ordained a member of the High Priest Quorum Quor-um Sunday in the stake house. Bishop and Mrs. LuRay Draper and family were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Hales Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Colarusso, (Marlene) of Pacoima, California and Thirl Tew of Deer Park, Flor ida, came home to attend the funeral fun-eral services of their father Wm. T. Tew which was held Wednesday afternoon in the stake house. The Birthday club was entertained enter-tained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Hales Friday evening. A hot supper was served and the remainder remain-der of the evening was spent in social chat. The officers and teachers of the Mapleton Primary were entertained entertain-ed at the home of Beth Martin Monday night. The lesson was given by Helen Campbell and Erma Hjorth gave the Book of Mormon scripture thought. Delna Cazier, Theona Hall and Rowena Palmer assisted the hostess. |
