Show Mothers Study Club Hears Hawaiian Program Members of the Mothers Study club were taken on an imaginary trip to Hawaii on Friday afternoon of last week when they met with Mrs. Nellie Anderson and heard a travelogue by Clyde Christensen, former missionary to the islands. In connection with his talks on the customs and scenery in the South Pacific islands, he showed a number of colored slides and sang native songs with uke accompaniment ac-companiment by himself. The club members each contributed contri-buted $1 to the Polio fund during a short business meeting conducted conduct-ed by President Nellie Burt. At the close of the program, the hostess served dainty refreshments in keeping with the Hawaiian theme. Mrs. Maude Christensen, mother of the speaker, was a special spec-ial guest and Mrs. Mildred Newman New-man assisted her mother with serving. President Burt announced the next meeting of the club would be February 12, at he home of Mrs. Ella Reynolds. |
