Show Committee on Nominations Named by PTA In spite of tht snow the local PTA's were well represented at the pta council meeting Monday evening conducted by its President, Presi-dent, Mrs. Clarence Deeben. The opening prayer was given by Mrs. Blaine Thorn and Mrs. Grant Palf reyman substituted for Mrs. Russel Blackett as secretary. Directories compiled by the council listing executive officeds and chairmen of each local PTA were handed each PTA president for distribution. i A nominating committee for the selection of prospective council officers for the coming school year was named with each elementary school PTA represented. They -are: Mrs. Max Sumsion, Mi's. Carl Gus-taveson, Gus-taveson, Mrs. Calvin Johnson and Mrs. Blaine Johnson. Officers will be elected at the April meeting. It was also noted that the state PTA sponsors $100 per year scholarships schol-arships to some deserving high school graduates interested in furthering fur-thering his studies in the field of education. Applications must be made to the principal of the high school before April 1st. 1 Mrs. Leona Curtis, Nebo School District nurse, announced plans for the Immunization program which gets under way next week. Mrs. Curtis suggested that the PTA might fill out personal record cards for each child to take home to his parents. This plan was approved ap-proved by Council members. |
