Show Modern Art Studio Open House to Feature Gifts, Exhibits Friday Valuable door prizes, ihments and a demonstration of the process Jfopen during- a picture, are all plannedftrJheuPi House Friday to acquaint townspeople with the new location lo-cation of Modern Art Studio at 130 South Main St. An invitation is extended to the public to call anytime between' be-tween' 6 p.m. and 10 p.m., and register for the valuable prizes and see the fine new spacious quarters of the Studio. Prizes are divided into adult and junior groups, with a movie camera outfit, complete with light attachment and case, valued val-ued at $59.45 and a 16 by 20-inch 20-inch artist's oil portrait valued at $35 to be given away in the adult group. A 11 by 14-inch colored portrait and a Brownie Holiday Camera outfit will be given away in'the junior group. The prizes will be awarded at the close of the Open House at 10 p.m., but winners do not have to be present, announces Vernon Castleton, manager, to receive a prize. Throughout the time, visitors will see demonstrations on retouching re-touching negatives; of oil coloring col-oring and of the many other processes used in modern photography pho-tography business. The new Modern Art Studio, located in the building formerly known as the Park theater, occupies oc-cupies the entire space of the building. The floors have all been tiled and new shelves and display space installed. There is a tot's photography area all decorated with hand-painted characters from the comic strips and an area for adult picture taking. There is also a reception room and office in addition ad-dition to the sales room. Two dark rooms and an open finishing finish-ing room are added features of the new quarters. There will be no sales or orders or-ders taken during the Open House, the management inviting invit-ing townspeople to come and enjoy the new place and see what is offered in the most modern up-to-date photography service in Springville. |
