Show Green Pea Aphids Doing Damaqe ToAlfalfa. Fields Green pea aphids are seriously damaging alfalfa fields in Utah County, according to preliminary surveys made by assistant county agents, Noble DeHart and Joel C. Barlow, Monday. The area between Springville and Spanish Fork and the Lake View area seem to be affected af-fected most seriously. Millions of aphids are literally devouring 3-4 inch high alfalfa. Fields being damaged by the pea aphids show a dry-greyish cast, and foliage that has once been green is being consumed by the insects. Mr. Barlow urges alfalfa growers grow-ers to check their fields for the insects, and if present to follow control practices immediately.
