Show Grant School PTA Elects Officers Mrs. Louise Springer was elected new president of the Grant School PTA at a meeting held last Wednesday Wed-nesday evening at the school. Mrs. Ivy Thorn was elected first vice president and Mrs. Lois Nielson, secretary-treasurer. They will succeed suc-ceed Mrs. Ardis Killpack, Mrs. Thora Johnson and Mrs. Pat Whiting Whit-ing who have held these positions this year. Principal LeRoy Enck-son Enck-son will retain his position as second sec-ond vice-president. Mrs. Killpack, retiring president, presided at the meeting at which an educational film on "Family and School Relationships" was shown. Ray Clark's Fifth grade class rendered three vocal selections under un-der supervision of Mrs. Patricia Tanner, a trainee. A report on the success of the year's visual aids program . was given by Mr. Clark. Mrs. Pat Whiting, secretary, read the year's financial report. Mrs. Killpack announced that funds had been raised to secure the tape recorder machine this year's project for the school. And she presented Mr.' Erickson with a gift on behalf of the PTA in acknowledgement of his fine cooperation with the organization. She also thanked all the teachers and PTA' chairmen for their cooperation coop-eration and efforts. A rosebud was given to Mrs. Killpack in' recognition of her fine work this year. And Mr. Erickson expressed his gratitude to the teachers and PTA officers for their cooperative efforts and attitude. A book, "Holiday Story Book" was then presented to the school for its growing library by the PTA. Light refreshments were served. I -5 |
