Show Tax Authority To Address Meeting Of Women's Legislative Council Today j Henry R. Pearson, Executive Director Di-rector of the Utah Tax Foundation, a non-profit corporation established establish-ed to study and encourage the study of taxes and the relation of state and social governmental costs to the economy of Utah, will address the meeting of the Utah County Womens Legislative Council Coun-cil this morning, at the Womens Clubhouse in Provo. The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. The program is under the direction direc-tion of the Tax committee of the council with Mrs. Harold Christen-sen Christen-sen chairman in charge. Mr. Pearson became executive director di-rector of the Utah Foundation in 1947. He graduated from the University Uni-versity of Utah in 1939 and sub sequently attended the Denver University Un-iversity two year receiving his Masters degree in government management in 1941. In March 1941, he was appointed director of the Wyoming Taxpayers Association Associa-tion serving them five years prior to his return to Utah in 1946, to direct the research program of the Utah Foundation. Attending the meeting also will be Chairman Burton Adams of the Utah County Commission and other county officials. The subject being taken up is one of special interest to every citizen citi-zen and a full attendance of delegates dele-gates from Springville and other I cities in the county, is expected. |
