Show Mothers Study Club' Holds Guest Day Mother's Study club met in the Fourth ward church Friday evening even-ing for a husband's and guest party. Club colors of red and white were used in room and table setting. The table was "T" shape and red and white burning tapers centered the table with a large bowl of red carnations and white mums adding harmony and beauty to the evening. A hot turkey dinner din-ner with all the trimimngs was served to the following: Mr. and Mrs. Lee R. Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Huntington, Mr. and Mrs. A. W Cherrington, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Finley, Mr. and Mrs. John Burt, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Gogarty, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Hunter, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Sumsion, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Thorn, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Brockbank, Grace Loveridge and son, Richard, Ella Reynolds and son-in-law, Cornell Menden-hall, Menden-hall, Etta Thorpe and son-in-law, Glenn Seal, Belle W. Childs and Anna Young, Boulah Whiting and Emily Anderson, Hattie Williams and daughter, Myrl Packard, Eva Crandall and daughter-in-law, Janet Crandall, Grace Crandall, and Noll Alleman, Nellie Anderson and Jean Ashby, Mae Huntington, Ann Jean Pierce and daughter Margaret Dean, Rena Roylance, Elda Jensen, Mary Bird and Helen Thorpe. Presiding at the banquet, President Presi-dent Floss Taylor announced community com-munity singing led by Elda Jensen, Jen-sen, Grace by L. R. Taylor. "Toast To the Have Been", Ella Reynolds, "To the Is," Philda Fin-ley; Fin-ley; "To the To-Be," Nellie Burt, two vocal solos, Helen Thorpe ac-comnanied ac-comnanied bv Marv Bird: two piano solos, Mary Bird; toasts and stories, Beulah Whiting, Maud Thorn, Zola Gogarty and Verda Hunter. Speaker of the evening was W. W. Brockbank, who in a pleasing way, spoke on "Guidance Builds Citizenship." Serving during the banquet was Jane Norton, Carol Clark and Maralyn Reed. Hostesses for the evening included includ-ed Hilda Cherrington, Rena Roy-, lance, Grace Crandall, Elda Jensen, Jen-sen, Margaret Huntington and Al-ta Al-ta Adams. |
