Instead of the county agent going go-ing into the county and making a program of his own and announcing announc-ing to the people that this will be the program for the year, he will accept the program made by the , people and that will be the pro-1 gram to determine his effort and, cooperation. When these county programs I are completed they will be assem-j bled, correluted and will make up j the state program: Also, the re- j suits will be forwarded to Wash- ington, D. C. to act as a guide for national planning and program making. It is remarkable the interest and j effort which the women and men of the communities have been willing will-ing to put into this study and analysis in gathering fundamental material for the making of a program. This is the necessity of a study and inventory in-ventory at this time which might be formulated into a program acceptable ac-ceptable to the county. Usually 20 to GO persons are invited to the first meeting, including in-cluding both men and women. The first effort is given to an analysis analy-sis of the agricultural cenus in the county, the water supply, a crop production, living conditions health situation and whether or not the credit of the county is not another program Just to be handed to the people, but it is a program to be made and worked i out in detail by the people who j are themselves concerned. Although the Agricultural College Col-lege Extension Service is taking the initiative in the county pro-: pro-: gram planning, the program is being be-ing made by the farmers and the homemakers themselves.
