Show LOCAL PEOPLE ARE INJURED r; CAR ACCIDENT C. G. Salisbury, cashier of the Springvillc Banking com pan v. is convalescing from injuries sustained sustain-ed in an automobile accident about 15 miles southeast of Silver City, Tuesday night. He sustained a fractured left arm, deep cuts to his face and body and a badly bruised hip. His son, Joe Salisbury, Salis-bury, also suffered a badly bruised face with cuts and bruises over his face and body. Miss Dona Salisbury, Salis-bury, and Miss Marie Simkins, i other occupants of the car also j suffered body cuts and bruises. ; The accident occurred on the ; main highway when Mr. Salisbury was returning from a business trip to Delta. He had picked up his sister Dona, and Miss Simkins at Dividend where they are teaching school. According to report iwr. Salisbury Salis-bury saw a car coming on his side of the road in the opposite direction. direc-tion. He pulled as far over to the side of the road as possible and stopped just as he was struck headen by the oncoming car. Both cars were completely demolished. Occupants of the other car were also injured, the extent of their injuries though were not known. All were treated at a nearby near-by CCC camp, afterwhich the Springville people were transferred trans-ferred in the Claudin ambulance to Dr. George A. Anderson's office here and later removed to their homes. Occupants of the other car were taken to Eureka for treatment. treat-ment.
