Show Recital Given Among the outstanding entertainments enter-tainments give in Springville this week was the recital tea given by Mrs. Mary W. Bird, local pian-' pian-' ist, presenting her students of the past year. Ed Williams of Spanish Fork entertained during the afternoon with vocal solos, accompanied by Mis. Bird. Students who gave piano numbers were: Reeda Bjarn-son, Bjarn-son, Betty Blanchard, Carol Clyde Dick Crandall, Jane B. Williams Gloria Bowen, Louise Long, Mar-een Mar-een Childs, Wilna Brown, LaRae Thorpe, Sanoma Williams, Edna Williams, Phyllis Bowen, Erma Holley, Katheryn Weight, Thora Whiting, Beth Williams, Burt Robertson. Joyce Hardy, Glenn Law, and Robert Sumsion were unable to attend. The affair wasc given especially for mothers. Following the recital re-cital refreshments were served from a beautifully decorated table employing tall pink taper and pink and white sweet peas as a centerpiece. Mrs. Inez Bird and Mrs. Helen Thorpe assisted . with the serving. A number of uests attended from Mapleton ,ind Spanish Fork. ,' |
