Show DEATH CLAIMS MARY R. CROOK PAYSON Mrs. Mary N. Race Crook, 81, widow of Hyrum F. Crook, died Sunday morning at her home 314 North, First East street from infirmities incedent to age. She was born at Stockton-on-Tees, England in October 1854, a daughter of Joseph and Isabelle Vest Race. She came to Utah with her parents when a small child and has resided in Payson since 1855. She is survived by seven sons and daughters: Mrs. Mary Cowan, Cow-an, Hollwood, California; Mrs. Elizabeth Curtly Payson; Mrs. Emma Hatch and William Crook, Albany California; J. H. Crook, Tonapah, Nevada; Mrs. Effie Robertson and Mrs. Frances Butler, But-ler, Provo; 39 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted Wednesday at 2 p. m. in Fourth ward chapel. Interment will be in the Payson City cemetery ceme-tery under the direction of the Deseret Mortuary. |
