Show MRS. BOYER SERVICES TO BE HELD TODAY j . Funeral services for Mrs. Col-ista Col-ista A. Boycr, 81, widow of Frank C. Boyer, well known civic and church worker, and beloved and i respected mother of this commu-j commu-j nity, who died Monday, will be held today, at 12 o'clock, in the Third ward chapel, with the Fourth ward bishopric in charge. : Friends may call at the family ! residence, 415 East Center street, i prior to the --services. Interment will be in the Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Boyer was born in Springville, Spring-ville, August 10, 1854, her parents Steven and Annie Hewlett Perry, being among the earliest settlers, arriving here in 1850. She had always al-ways lived here, and as a young girl learned the pioneer arts of spinning and knitting. She taught in the early school of this community com-munity and was well known for her writings, both poetry and prose. She was editor of the first here ,and also served as counselor retrenchment society publication in that organization, which later lat-er became the M. I. A. She was secretary-treasurer of the Relief society for a number of years, and spent much time visiting visit-ing the sick of the community, a work assigned to the early Relief organization. Sh was married in the Salt Lake endowment house, April 8, 1875. Mr. Boyer died in 1008. She was the mother of ten children, chil-dren, eight of whom survive her as follows: Mrs. Joseph Anderson, Ander-son, Phillip O.; W. P. and Angus Boyer, Salt Lake City; John E. Boyer, Sacramento, Calif.; Lewis Boycr, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Frank Salisbury and Charles Boyer, Springville. She also leaves 19 grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Peery of Vernal and the following follow-ing half-brothers and half-sisters, Mrs. Lucy Van Leuvan, Springville; Spring-ville; George Perry, Salt Lake City; H. B,. Horace, Parley, Mark and Marion Perry, Mrs. Edward Snow, Mrs. Harriet Whiting, Mapleton; Harvey Peery, Black-foot, Black-foot, Ida. |
