Show - 1- Local : At the election held Friday, July 26th at the B. Y. U. Alpine-Summer Alpine-Summer school, Springville students stu-dents won two of the three stu-dentbody stu-dentbody offices for the summer school session. The results of the election were William Recder, Og-den, Og-den, president, Hazel Anderson, Springville, vice president, Made-lyn Made-lyn Harrison, Springville, secretary secre-tary and treasurer. Approximately 40 members of the Future Farmer chapter of the high school left Monday on a week's trip to Yellowstone National Na-tional park. William H. Anderson, Ander-son, head of the agriculture department de-partment of the high school, and ' J. F. Wingate ,also of the high school faculty, accompanied the boys on the trip. Descendants of the five Robertson Robert-son brothers, William, James, Alexander and Charles, who came to this country from Scotland, in 1852, will hold a family reunion at Geneva resort, Tuesday. A large number of relatives from this community attended. A number of Democrats from this city were in attendance at the annual outing ol the county, at Geneva, Wednesday. Berne Kindred of this city is employed with the Metropolitan Life Insurance company, at Tooele. He visited his parents here, the past week end. The First ward Relief society will hold their meeting Tuesday, at the City park, in the form of a social, A nicely arranged program pro-gram is scheduled for the occasion occa-sion and all members of the society so-ciety are urged to attend. Refreshments Refresh-ments wilt be aolo. at the close of the meeting. Leo Crandall .recently returned missionary, will be the principal speaker at a conjoint meeting of the Second ward M. I. A., Sunday at 7 p. m. ,in the ward chapel. The ward choir will present an excellent excel-lent program and the meeting will be well worth while, officers report. re-port. All ward members and friends are cordially invited to attend. at-tend. William A. Wightman, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Wightman of this city, has just received his licentiate in pharmacy from the Nevada state board of pharmacy. Mr. Whitman has been employed in drug stores in Nevada for some time. |
