Show NOVELIST DIES IN CALIFORNIA PASADENA, Oct. 23 (LLR) Zane Grey, 64, noted novelist, died today of heart disease at his home in Altadena, a suburb. j Grey won international fame as an author of romantic western novels, most of them based on ranch and cowboy life in Arizona, Ari-zona, Nevada and California. Many of his books were purchased purchas-ed by Hollywood film companies for motion pictures. Grey only recently returned from one of his many fishing trips to the South Sea islands, where he delighted in fishing for rare game fish. The fatal attack struck Grey shortly after he arose for breakfast break-fast at 8 a. m. Relatives and friends said he had seemed in excellent health, having spent the last few days autographing his latest book "Western Union," a history of telegraphy in the United States. |
