Show Carry-Over Lower In Strawberry SPANISH FORK According to a report released by Clifford H. Jex, project engineer of the Strawberry Reservoir, there are 30,900 acre feet of water less available for use this fall in the Strawberry reservoir than there was at the same time last fall. Figures for Oct. 1, according to the report, show a total of 44,000 acre feet if water is the reservoir available for irrigation on Oct. I, oH this year as compared with 7i,900 acre feet on Oct. 1, of last year The loss is accounted for by the unusually dry summer, which not only caused a decrease m the inflow from 64,521 acre feet in 1938 to 36.138 acre feet this year, but caused an increase in the use of irrigation water from 51.981 acre feet last year, to 07,098 acre feet this year |
