Show Need Dormitories At State School AMERICAN FORK In a report re-port to the board of trustees Sunday, Dr. H. H. Ramsey, superintendent sup-erintendent of the Utah State Training school at American Fork, recommended construction of several small dormitories to house custodial children. Dr. Ramsey stated' overcrowding overcrowd-ing among some of the lower groups of children at the institution insti-tution was creating a serious problem. The board authorized the superintendent sup-erintendent to appoint a committee commit-tee to investigate possibility of obtaining federal funds to aid in construction of the needed units. Payment of $18,222.10 in claims for the month of September also , was authorized by the board, including in-cluding a payroll of $5812.08 and $4000 for laundry and kitchen equipment. |
