Show j 4-H CLUB NEWS . More than 200 4-H club members mem-bers and parents participated m the Springville and Mapleton districts' dis-tricts' annual campfire outing held at. Kelley's Grove last week. The outing previously planned for Maple canyon was changed because be-cause of construction going on at the latter place. The outing began with a period of games and competitive sports followed by a lunch hour. Later an especially interesting program around a huge campfire, was en-ioved en-ioved bv all. Numbers were given bv representatives from most oi the boys' and girls' 4-H clubs in the district. Short talks were also given by Miss Bessie Kirk-ham, Kirk-ham, Utah county supervisor and County Agent H. S. Boswell Keith Boyer had charge of the program. The committee on arrangements ar-rangements included Rulon Fox, general chairman; Mrs. J. C Nielson, district supervisor, Mrs. Grant Whitehead, assistant; and Mrs. Estella Ollerton and Mrs. Mae Miller. The Thrifty Nine 4-H club of Mapleton, under the direction of their leader. Miss Wilma Binks, Thursdav afternoon, enjoyed a meeting 'and social at the home of Miss Veon Bird. The time was spent with sewing and a dainty much. Those present were Mozell Houtz, Josie Roundy, Lena Car-nesecca. Car-nesecca. Gwen Mendenhall. Louise Johnson, Phyllis Bird, the leader and the hostess. |
