Boyer of Spring-ville; Spring-ville; 35 grandchildren and two great-grandcnildren. COUPLE TO OBSERVE 50 ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. John S. Boyer, prominent church and civic workers work-ers of this city, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary anniver-sary with an open house reception recep-tion for their relatives and friends Sunday, from 2 p. m., until late evening, at their home, 296 West Seventh South street. Mr. Bover was norn in Spring-ville Spring-ville March 31, 1867, a son of John Sell and Julia Ann Cran-dall Cran-dall Boyer, early pioneers. He received his education in the early schools of Springville and also attended the Brigham Young academy. j He has served as mayor of Springville and also two terms as city councilman. From 1903 to 1905 he served on a mission in the British Isles and again in 191a with Mrs. Boyer, he labored in the northwestern states mission. mis-sion. Mr. Boyer was superintendent of the Second ward Sunday school 25 years and served in the MIA presidency 20 years. He was also stake genealogical chairman at one time and is now chairjnan of the district scout honor !5Grt. Mrs. Susanna Bailey Jarrett Boyer was born in Longham, England, Mav IB, 1869. In 1885. she joined the L. D. S. church and the following year left her family to come to Utah. She returned re-turned to England in 1905, to visit- her parents. Mrs. Boyer has served as pies' ident of the Primary organization organiza-tion in her Second ward aud was also in the Relief Society presidency presi-dency and the M. I. A. presidency presi-dency for a number of years. She is a merabjr of Camp Aaron Johnson Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Pio-neers. The eounle was married at the Manti temple on Mav 1, 1889.
