Show CLEAN-UP CAMPAIGN IS OUTSTANDING This is the sixth in a ser- j ies of articles written for the ! Utah county landscape im- provement campaign by Jack j Vick, state chairman of the home beautification project, Junior chamber of commerce. The clean-up, paint-up cam- j paign holds the distinction of be- I ing one of the oldest and most universally accepted of all "campaigns." "cam-paigns." It offers a golden opportunity op-portunity for everyone to show their desire for public service in a movement which demonstrates that "good citizenship is good business'' and brings reciproca-tive reciproca-tive benefits to everybody. Its purpose is concerted action for community cleanliness, health, safety, beautification and better living. The campaign ia an impressive im-pressive and practical object lesson les-son in better citizenship and civics through active cooperation between the growing and the adult generations -in 'the " com--munity for greater cleanliness, health, safety, thrift and civic pride in home and community environments. The instruments of i the campaign in the demonstration demonstra-tion of good community housekeeping house-keeping are ' organized cleanliness, cleanli-ness, beautification, sanitation, repair and renovation of all classes of property and environment, environ-ment, both public and private, with the attendant creation of needed employment. As citizens, we are keenly interested in-terested in helping to make our community the cleanest, safest, and healthiest in the country. This is a large order, but with everybody pulling together it can be close to an actuality. Every citizen has his own little job to do in connection with the campaign. cam-paign.
