Straw of the AlapiVa Beta; Mrs. Elmo Coffman and Mrs. Harold Christensen of the Home Culture and Mrs. J. W. Whiting, Mrs. John Burt and Mrs. Wayne Johnson of the Mothers Study. Andrew Pierce last week received re-ceived a letter from Cyrus E. Dal-lin,. Dal-lin,. famous sculptor now residing at Arlington Heights, Mass., thanking him for a picture of an old time graduating class in which Dr. Dallin was very much interested. inter-ested. The letter in an interesting interest-ing manner recalled many boyhood boy-hood experience which the former Utahn had during his early life in Springville. The Second ward scouts gave a delightful skit during the preliminary pre-liminary program of the M. I. A. meeting Tuesday night, entitled "A Scout Is Brave." Taking part were: Carl Measom, Dean Hafen, Russell Hales, Allen Stewart, Max Meason and Dorothy Stewart. Stew-art. ' The Third ward honor night exercises ex-ercises will feature a review of the book "Jane Eyre," next Tuesday Tues-day at 7:30 p. m., in the. ward chapel. A fine musical program wiTi also be given. In the first cattle drive of the season Monday, about one-fourth of the cattle in the vicinity were taken on ranges east of here. Others will be taken to the canyons can-yons early next month. Range feed is about average this season, stockmen report. Glenn Webb and Earl Child have been appointed herders. The seminary prospective graduates grad-uates under the direction of Principal Prin-cipal J. W. Olsen and Ray Col-tin, Col-tin, plan to take an excursion to Salt Lake City on May 12. They expect to visit newspaper plants, the capitol, temple grounds and other places of interest during dur-ing the day. |
