San Franciscan Is Hinckley Successor SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 9 (IIP) Appointment of H. E. Smith, of San Francisco, as acting field representative rep-resentative of the works progress adminstration for 11 western states, Hawaii and Alaska, was announced here today. The appointment, made by WPA Adminstrator Harry L. Hopkins, Hop-kins, becomes effective immediately, immediate-ly, according to Darrell Green-well, Green-well, Utah administrator, who announced the appointment locally. lo-cally. Smith suceceds Robert H. Hinckley, Ogden, Utah, who was recentl yappointed to federal civil aeronautics authority.
